Two engineers, one rented desk.

Octidev started as a side gig between two senior engineers tired of watching offshore agencies ship Wordpress duct-tape to YC founders. First client signed in week three, paid in week four, still shipping with us.

First Shopify app on the App Store.

A subscription engine for a DTC coffee brand. Five-week build. Approved on the first review pass — apparently rare. We made a list of the gotchas. That list is now our App Store playbook.

2024 · Q2

First dedicated pod for a US SaaS.

A four-engineer pod embedded with a Series-A team in Austin. Same Slack, same Linear, same standups. They renewed at month six. They're still with us.

AI practice spun up.

Built our first production RAG system before everyone's LinkedIn went AI-native. Wrote our internal evals harness. Three AI features now run through it before any client deploy.

Team of 18. Still no sales people.
